Steven R. Hall

I am interested in serving on the Board because I believe that homeowner participation is critical in order to sustain the well-being of the community. I enjoy learning about our community and helping to support various projects that may arise.

I served as President of the Board of the American Plaza Condominium Association for about two years. During my time on the Board, we dealt with complex budgeting and capital improvement issues. For several years, I served as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Multnomah County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (MCARES) organization. MCARES is a group of about 100 train ham radio operators whose primary mission is to provide communication support to the County in cases of extreme emergency. Since moving to Beaverton, I have joined the Washington County ARES and serve as their PIO. I am retired from Kaiser Permanente where I worked for 16 years a Director in Human Resources.

I am originally from Petoskey, Mich., and travel there several times a year to visit with family and friends. Before moving to the Portland/Beaverton area, I lived in Houston, Tex., where I worked for Baylor College of Medicine, Memorial Care Systems and St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. My wife, Elaine McDonald, and I moved to Crystalbrook from Multnomah Village about four years ago. Our son and his family live about four blocks from us. We have six grandchildren, three in Petoskey and three here in Beaverton. I have an interest in amateur (ham) radio as a hobby and as it relates to emergency preparedness.
